Let me explain, I’m a Appalachian so I was raised watching my Grandmothers and Mother “throw things together”. When we cook, we cook with what we “have on hand”.  So, I will explain how my Stuffed Green Peppers “come together” for me. Keep in mind that all cooks have their own variations and creative styles. This is mine:                                                                                                                                                                                               Aluminum deep pan to fit at least nine peppers (any color can be used).                          Preheat over 350 degrees                                                                                                            8 ounces of Spring water in pan with washed & cleaned peppers                                              cook rice & put to the side                                                                                                           I cook my own sauce but you can also buy a premade sauce. With mine I mix tomato sauce, paste, diced tomatoes, garlic powder and a bit of sugar to sweeten the pot :-).                                                                                                                                                            While that is cooking in a different pan: virgin olive oil & garlic diced cloves (few minutes). Then, add your meat and dust with a bit of garlic powder. When meat is nearly done (not well done) add to sauce. Lastly, add rice to all and dash salt to your preference.                                                                                                                                                    Fill up peppers & remaining mixture scattered around the peppers in pan. Drizzle 8 ounces of Spring water over all and cover with aluminum foil. cook for at least an hour maybe a bit longer until peppers reach the texture you want. Uncover, turn off oven, sprinkle your favorite shredded cheese over top and replace back in oven till ready to serve.                                                                                                                                       This actually is a easy, simple and frugal meal that comes out looking gourmet. I always get asked how I make this 🙂IMG_20181130_193834237_HDR
