Me and Caleb decided this was a good night to throw this old fashion recipe together. This recipe sets good, it is not runny or falling apart. So easy to make. (pic above is Caleb digging in)
Has a total of eight ingredients:
1/2 cup of butter/margarine
2 cups unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups quick oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
The first four ingredients goes into a pan on the stove. I turned my dial to #4. Stir and blend well till you see the first boil bubble. Then, only cook/boil for 3 minutes and take off heat. Now, your ready to add the remaining ingredients. This recipe begins to set pretty quick. The pics below show my spoon in the middle to demonstrate that it is already beginning to set.
Ready to place on pan and shape anyway you like. 🙂
Also, not a bad gift idea for the Holidays or a quick to make take along for a get together.
Me and Caleb’s conclusion:
